His parents moved from Atlanta to Hilton Head Island in 1974 when his father and Rick Murray opened the &quot;Pelican Deck,&quot; a men's clothing store. Baker attended Sea Pines Montessori then graduated from Hilton Head Prep in 1989.</p> <p>After high school, Baker moved to Columbia and attended the University of South Carolina. He graduated in 1994 with a major in Business Administration/Marketing.</p> <p>After graduation, Baker moved back to Hilton Head and worked for Jimmy Rowe at Kinghorn Insurance. At Kinghorn, Baker was a producer for commercial property and casualty for five years. In 1999, Baker joined David Bachelder at Charter I Commercial. Over the last 10 years he has been selling and leasing commercial real estate in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area.</p> <p>The majority of Baker's family live on Hilton Head and Savannah including his mom, Barbara Wilkins, who has been a residential real estate agent on Hilton Head for over 20 years. Baker's wife Jenn is an esthetician at Faces Day Spa.
