Brad Wilson was born in Mayfield, Kentucky, which is located in the western part of the Bluegrass State. He loved sports and played on the first undefeated high school football team at Mayfield High School. Unfortunately, they didn’t win the State Championship Game. Brad has always believed that experiences like these at a young age helped to mold the character needed for a lifetime of “peaks and valleys”. Brad went to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green and graduated with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis on Marketing. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and continues to be involved with this organization. For several summers while in college, he worked with the Southwestern Publishing Company of Nashville, Tennessee selling family Bibles and other books door to door to help pay for his education. He feels those summer experiences had a major influence on his decision to go into sales as a career and helped form the person he is today. Upon graduation, Brad went to work for a company in Louisville, Kentucky called Belknap which, at that time, was the largest hardware distributing company in the world. In 1978, he came to Hilton Head Island to start a new career in real estate and has been here ever since.
Brad’s close-knit family includes Cheryl, his wife of 25 years, his son Bailey and daughter, Caroline. Bailey, who graduated from Hilton Head Island High School is studying to become a welder and hopes to also reach his dream to serve his country in the United States Coast Guard. Caroline is a freshman at the University of South Carolina where she is pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy. Brad and his family are members of the First Presbyterian Church, and are active in fellowship and community outreach programs.
Brad has lived on the Island for 33 years and has called Hilton Head Plantation his home for the past 28 years. He also has served as a Director of the Hilton Head Plantation Property Owners Association’s Board. Brad has also served his fellow Realtors as a member of the Grievance Committee of the Board of Realtors. He has consistently been ranked as one of the Top 25 Realtors on Hilton Head Island since 1985 and is a recipient of the Lifetime Member Award and Distinguished Sales Award bestowed upon him by the Hilton Head Island Association of Realtors, an organization with well over 1,000 members. Year after year he consistently serves his clients and the citizens of Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, South Carolina.
"I feel that putting my clients' needs before my own is most important and I believe that anything in life is possible if you give 100% and have a good attitude."
Brad is a Broker/Partner at Charter One North where he is active in both residential and commercial real estate. He is very proud of his association with Charter One Realty, a company known for its integrity, honesty and commitment to all their clients. He believes that the most successful people in life are the individuals that “not only do what they Love, but also, Love what they do.” “I truly love the feeling I get when I help someone reach their dream!! That makes it all worthwhile.”
